Tidal Treasures: The Sea Glass Velvet Collection

Nature’s slow-crafted beauty, brought right to your fingertips. For this custom collection, we looked away from traditional intricate paintings to focus entirely on the raw, ethereal texture of ocean-weathered treasures: Sea Glass.

This minimalist set features three distinct, organically curated shade gradients that perfectly balance the cool, frosted surface of tumbled glass with a hidden, shifting dimensional sheen.

The Consultation: Frozen Gradients and Deep Ocean Tones

The vision behind this minimalist set was all about tactical, texturized luxury. We selected a Short Almond shape to provide a soft, naturally rounded silhouette that mimics the smooth, organic edges of genuine pieces washed ashore.

• Sage Sea Glass: The top tier features a pale, weathered moss green that captures the soft look of shallow-water sea glass.

•  Seafoam Sea Glass: The middle tier shifts into a cool, refreshing seafoam aqua, evoking a light, airy tropical tide pool vibe.

• Deep Teal Sea Glass: The bottom tier dives down into a rich, deep emerald and obsidian-teal gradient, capturing the moody mystery of old-growth ocean depths.

The Craft: The Velvet-Matte Transformation

Recreating the physical texture of ocean-tumbled glass required a sophisticated combination of Magnetic Cat-Eye Dimension and a specialized matte finish.

• The Shifting Magnetic Underlay: Before locking in the texture, our artists layered a premium cat-eye magnetic glitter pigment beneath the surface. Using a dual-force magnet, we pulled the shimmer into a central, glowing beam that runs through the nail.

• The Frosted Glass Finish: Instead of leaving the glitter highly reflective, we coated the entire set in our premium velvet-matte topcoat. This completely eliminates any high-gloss shine, tricking the eye into seeing the characteristic translucent, "frozen" texture of authentic sea glass.

• The Glowing Core: Because the matte layer sits on top of a magnetic gel, the nails appear completely soft and velvety at first glance. However, as your hands catch the sunlight, a brilliant metallic flash moves beneath the frosted surface, perfectly mimicking the way light filters through real glass under water.
