The Vision: Chains, Blood, and Resolve

The brief for this set was all about the "Yorknew City" arc aesthetic—dark, heavy with tension, and focused on Kurapika’s Conjurer abilities.

• The Medium Coffin Canvas: We chose this elongated shape to provide enough "real estate" for the hand-painted portrait and the complex chain work.

• The Palette: A striking contrast of deep obsidian black, metallic silver, and a piercing, vengeful red.

The Craft: Interactive Hunter Artistry

To bring the Kurta Clan survivor’s story to life, we utilized Complex Artistry that moves and reacts just like Nen energy. 

• The Liquid "Eyes": The centerpieces of this set are the two liquid nails. Suspended in clear fluid, individual "Scarlet Eyes" drift and swirl with every movement, creating a hauntingly realistic effect.

• The Crimson Glow: When the lights go out, the Scarlet Eyes and Kurapika's gaze illuminate with a terrifying red glow, mimicking the moment his emotions trigger his unique power.

• 3D Chain Work: We used a combination of hand-painting and actual 3D metallic chains to represent Kurapika’s "Judgement Chain." The texture of the silver against the matte black adds a high-end, armor-like feel to the design.

• Photorealistic Anime Portrait: Spread across three nails, the portrait of Kurapika is rendered with microscopic precision, capturing the cold focus in his eyes and the fine detail of his traditional attire.
